Duties

Help
  • Serve as a Deputy Director of Production Management at Tobyhanna Army Depot, working closely with the Command Group to formulate polices and support informed decision-making on critical policy matters.
  • Provide support to the Command Group on all aspects of the Depots Communication-Electronics -E mission workload.
  • Maintain liaison between Tobyhanna Army Depot and other installations, agencies, and industries in matters pertaining to mission activities.
  • Assure that subordinate supervisors carry out policies effectively to meet management objectives, including those related to labor management relations
  • Analyze program costs and accomplishments across funds, manpower, materials, and equipment to support data-driven resource allocation decisions.
  • Ensure subordinate supervisors achieve organizational goals and objectives.
  • Provide project management support for strategic program initiatives to improve execution, accelerate progress, and advance mission priorities.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 11
  • A one year Supervisory probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position (Advanced ). Selectee must meet position requirements for  Program Management certification within 48 months as of entrance on duty.
  • Selectee must obtain and maintain APICS/CPIM Certification OR Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification through the Project Management Institute within two (2) years of position acceptance.
  • Selectee is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08). Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually.

Specialized experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes: : 1) Overseeing, the execution of operation and budgeting programs; AND 2) Evaluating program data to recommend funding adjustments across mission area; AND 3) Developing plans, policies, and/or procedures in support of the organizational mission and objectives; This definition of specialized experience is at the GS-13 equivalent grade/pay band in the Federal Service.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13) .Must Provide SF-50.
