Duties

Help
  • Directs and evaluates Facilities and Infrastructure Program activities; analyzes program performance, proposals, and emerging requirements; and provides recommendations, alternative courses of action, and expert policy advice to senior leadership.
  • Manages and integrates assigned facilities and infrastructure projects to ensure timely execution, continuity of operations, resolution of deficiencies, and compliance with organizational requirements.
  • Coordinates with U.S. Army Hawaii, higher headquarters, installations, Joint Service organizations, and external agencies to synchronize infrastructure priorities, pending mandates, and strategic initiatives affecting U.S. Army Garrison Hawaii.
  • Serves as staff action officer for facilities and infrastructure matters; prepares correspondence, information papers, fact sheets, reports, studies, and briefings; and leads the coordination, staffing, tracking, and follow-up of assigned actions.
  • Conducts program evaluations, inspections, and staff assistance visits to assess compliance with program policies and plans, determine whether mandatory requirements are met, and evaluate Directorate and garrison program delivery.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) evaluating engineering, facility, infrastructure, or similar support programs; 2) identifying problems, trends, and gaps; 3) providing leadership with program status updates; 4) coordinating with higher headquarters or other stakeholders on changing requirements; and 5) monitoring complex projects or program actions across multiple offices or organizations to keep work on schedule, resolve issues, avoid duplicated effort, and meet requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Education
