Duties

Help
  • Develops strategies for industrial hygiene data management systems to meet modernization objectives and integrate conflicting user needs
  • Analyzes industrial hygiene data metrics to support public health initiatives, policy development, and program execution assessments.
  • Advises management and technical personnel to resolve complex industrial hygiene data management and system operation problems.
  • Establishes quality assurance guidelines and procedures to ensure the reliability of industrial hygiene data repositories.
  • Develops industrial hygiene data management policies to standardize occupational health and business practices across military services.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience includes all of the following: 1) advising senior leadership on the implementation or modernization of industrial hygiene data management systems; 2) analyzing programmatic data and performance metrics to support public health policy development and assess program effectiveness; AND 3) developing or implementing quality assurance policies and guidelines to ensure the reliability of data across large-scale occupational health repositories.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
