Duties

Help
  • You will coordinates travel abroad arrangements and reservations, and follows up with associated action and documentation for midshipmen, faculty, staff, and high level speakers, military and civilian expert senior advisors, observers, and others.
  • You will serve as a liaison with U.S. Department of State and foreign government personnel, primarily for passport and visa processing and coordination of travel itineraries.
  • You will assist with planning and managing the internal affairs of the office and in the control and coordination of special projects, e.g., organizing international visits and conferences, coordinating seminars, coordinating speaker logistics.
  • You will brief and/or advise staff members or persons outside the International Programs Office on the policies and objectives of the projects/activities.
  • You will receive and coordinate response to mail, phone calls, and visitors to resolve most inquiries pertaining to the financial and budgetary transactions associated with events and projects.

Qualifications

For GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing the logistics and administration of a federal academic program evaluations, 2)Demonstrating ability to conduct research and program evaluations 3) Coordinating and communicating effectively with U.S. Naval Academy midshipmen, faculty, staff, and senior military advisors; and support program planning, execution, and assessment, 4) Preparing budget estimates, managing program operating funds, tracking expenditures, authorizing Government Travel Charge Card purchases in accordance with applicable policies, and conducting financial-record reconciliations to ensure accurate, timely, and accountable use of funds.

For GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

For GS-09: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or LL.B. or J.D., if related

For GS-07: 1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement
