I can assemble heavy engines to meet technical specifications and utilize hand tools to restore full serviceability on equipment. PHYSICAL EFFORT: Works in tiring and uncomfortable positions for long periods of time. Requires frequent bending, reaching, stretching, climbing over large heavy equipment, working on top of and under equipment, and in cramped and awkward positions. Frequently lifts, carries and moves items weighing over 50pounds and exerts considerable physical effort in pushing, pulling, turning and positioning items. Utilizes hoists, jacks, overhead bridge crane, and assistance of other workers when heavier items are encountered.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed inside and frequently outdoors in all types of weather. There is exposure to drafts, loud noise, dirt, oils, grease, hydraulic fluid, and the possibility of cuts, burns, sprains, bruises and skin irritations from fluids and lubricants. Observes established safety practices by wearing protective or safety equipment such as ear plugs or muffs, safety shoes, protective eye glasses, face shield, goggles, gloves, rubber aprons and hard hats.
