As a Mathematician (Assistant Professor), you will:
Be responsible for the development and conduct of educational courses and programs within the department, in particular teaching courses in Mathematics.
Be responsible for conducting research, instruction and academic counseling of Midshipmen and assuming a share of departmental and other academic responsibilities.
The ideal candidate for this position must be a highly motivated and experienced professional possessing a Doctorate degree in mathematics and experience teaching all levels of undergraduate mathematics courses. Must possess a minimum of one-year full-time experience teaching Mathematics courses in a college or university, other than as a part of teaching assistantship. Experience with computer programing and computer languages such as Python is a plus.

Qualifications
To be qualified for this position, you must meet the education requirements and have experience teaching college level courses in the required field of study.
To qualify for Mathematics (Assistant Professor), you must possess a minimum of one year full-time (or equivalent) experience teaching undergraduate-level Calculus, Differential Equations and/or Probability & Statistics courses in a college or university, other than as part of a teaching assistantship. Experience in applied mathematics is preferred.
OR Equivalent: Adjunct work at a college campus, temporary replacement. Can be accumulated multiple years as faculty at various institutions. Either as a total of 10 months of work (like most schools) or a minimum of 4, 3 credit courses. Highly Desirable: Experience with computer programing and computer languages such as Python.

Education
Degree: Mathematics; or the equivalent of a major that included at least 24 semester hours in mathematics.

Combination of education and experience -- courses equivalent to a major in mathematics (including at least 24 semester hours in mathematics), as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
The total course work in either A or B above must have included differential and integral calculus and, in addition, four advanced mathematics courses requiring calculus or equivalent mathematics courses as a prerequisite.
To qualify for the mathematics (Assistant Professor) position the candidate must possess a Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in Mathematics or a closely related mathematics field including, but not limited to, Statistics or Operations Research.
