Duties

Help

  1. Creates and reviews exercise, operation, contingency, beddown, and other plans for deployment/employment taskings and disseminates taskings to functional area managers. Recommends actions for completing the reception plan processes.
  2. Develops, executes, and administers support agreements in accordance with DoD, AF and higher headquarters guidance. Utilizes the Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center (AFIMSC) Base Operation Support Agreement Catalog (BOSAC) and develops comprehensive list of unique Wing capabilities to be published in the BOSAC. Analyzes installation support agreements to determine the nature and scope of services requested.
  3. Manages and monitors the Wing War Reserve Material (WRM) Program. Serves as the installation focal point for all WRM consisting of enterprise managed, strategically positioned equipment and consumables that support initial operations and initial sustainment across a full range of military operations.
  4. Responsible for providing training, resources, and logistics systems to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the installation deployment processes. Assists in determining the capability of the Wing to support contingency taskings. Validates AFFORGEN taskings, unit assessments of readiness capabilities (e.g., UTC Reporting), operational capability statements, and all other deployment related tasking documents to identify installation deployment requirements.
  5. Represents the Plans and Integration Section with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. The incumbent assists in establishing, developing, and maintaining effective working relationships with all level?? of management throughout the installation. This role involves providing support and input on installation support of wing deployment command and control (C2) processes. Meets with key customers and coordinating officials to assess customer satisfaction, explain organization policy and procedures, and resolve problems that arise.
This position serves as a member of Plans and Integration Section (LGRDX), providing planning, directing, and organizing readiness requirements for mobility, reception, war, and contingency plans. Responsible for development, execution, and administration of support agreements for host installation and tenant units. Manages and maintains current WRM authorization documents. Tracks and monitors accountability, serviceability, and availability of all Wing War Reserve Material (WRM) assets. LGRDX has responsibility for providing wing-level administration of Air Force Force Generation (AFFORGEN), Unit Type
Codes (UTC), Base Support and Expeditionary (BAS&E) Site Plans, Installation Deployment Plan (IDP), Deployment Training, Deployment Control Center (DCC), Reception Control Center (RCC), and core elements of an Installation Deployment Readiness Cell (IDRC).

Qualifications

Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative andManagement Series. Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.

BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
General Experience: For positions for which individual occupational requirements do not specify otherwise, general experience is 3 years of progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least GS-4, that demonstrates the ability to:

  1. Analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions;
  2. Plan and organize work; and
  3. Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Such experience may have been gained in administrative, professional, technical, investigative, or other responsible work. Experience in substantive and relevant secretarial, clerical, or other responsible work may be qualifying as long as it provided evidence of the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) necessary to perform the duties of the position to be filled. Experience of a general clerical nature (typing, filing, routine procedural processing, maintaining records, or other nonspecialized tasks) is not creditable. Trades or crafts experience appropriate to the position to be filled may be creditable for some positions.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: I have, or within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement will have, at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience which is equivalent to Federal experience at the next lower grade (GS-4), level, pay band (NH-1), or equivalent. Specialized experience is described as Work with the multiple offices with Wing/Installation Support and be the focal point for the program. Assist with readiness requirements for mobility, reception, war and contingency plans. Responsible for development, execution, and administration of support agreements for host installation and tenant units.


1. Knowledge in a broad range of logistics management operations. Key areas include planning, coordinating, and evaluating contingency support; managing logistics readiness during deployment and execution; overseeing support agreements and war reserve materiel; and handling base expeditionary support, sustainment, redeployment, and mobility bags and/or small arms weapons. Expertise in logistics command and control is also desired. Expected to possess a preponderance of these skills, ensuring they can effectively contribute to logistics operations.
2. Knowledge of Integrated Deployment Systems (IDS) which include logistics management information systems necessary for planning and executing deployment operations (e.g., Logistics Module (LOGMOD), Deliberate Crisis Action Planning and Execution Systems (DCAPES), and UTC Assessment.
3. Skill in analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting logistics readiness factors, and formulating procedural solutions to problems.
4. Ability to integrate the separate functions in planning or implementing a logistics management program.
5. Ability to identify, analyze and translate complex information, make appropriate judgments, and evaluate options concerning base readiness.
6. Ability to speak distinctly and communicate effectively both orally and in writing and maintain effective work relationships.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

This is an acquisition demonstration project position NH-02 equivalent to a GS-05 to GS-11.
