You will prepare outlines of subject matter, and conducts laboratories/lectures.
You will design and direct the construction of and/or personally fabricates various test devices utilizing naval architectural and aircraft drawings, sketches and /or oral information, designs.
You will fabricate various test devices, electronic and mechanical, for instructional purposes.
You will develop new experimental systems and demonstration units for a variety of engineering laboratories, including Mechanical Engineering Experimentation, Mechanical Vibrations, Ocean Engineering Structures, or other labs.
You will determine test procedures and make design changes to improve test equipment and related accessories.
You will set up, calibrate, and operate mechanical/electronic equipment associated with various engineering labs.
Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing computer software to create engineering designs, drawings, 3-dimensional models. Reading, interpreting and making complex technical drawings. Demonstrating the understanding of advanced composite structures including both hydrodynamic and aerodynamic models.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
