This includes Personnel Staffing and Operations, Resources and Personnel Programs, and Classification, Performance Management, Labor Management, and Employee Relations.

Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following:

  • Serves as a Management Analyst responsible for designing, developing, and managing personnel staffmg and operations programs.
  • Routinely evaluates the program and prepares reports, charts, and summaries for agency leadership to make informed decisions on mission requirements.
  • Analyzes and evaluates on a quantitative/qualitative basis the effectiveness of the agency's staffmg and recruitment operations, methods, and procedures in meeting established goals and objectives.
  • Provides authoritative advice and guidance to the personnel staffmg and operations team leader, the HCPMD Director, and other members of the PFP A staff regarding the staffing and recruitment of positions.

Qualifications

In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.

You may qualify at the GS-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:

One year year of specialized experience in the same or similar work equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-12) requiring application of the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the position being filled. Applicants for this position must clearly demonstrate in their resume that they possess specialized experience in 1) analyzing and evaluating current staffing vacancies and existing recruitment strategies; 2) identifying and forecasting staffing and recruitment challenges, future mission demands, and trends in hiring cycles; 3) providing guidance to leadership regarding the staffing and recruitment of positions.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

ACTIVE DUTY SERVICE MEMBERS: Federal agencies treat active duty service member as veterans, disabled veterans, and preference eligible, when they submit, as part of their application package, a "certification" of active service in lieu of a DD-214, indicating the service member is otherwise eligible and will be discharged or released within 120 days from the date of submission.. Pentagon Force Protection Agency

The mission of the Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA) is to provide force protection, security, and law enforcement to safeguard personnel, facilities, infrastructure, and other resources for the Pentagon Reservation and designated Department of War (DoW) facilities (hereinafter referred to as "the Pentagon Facilities") within the National Capital Region (NCR). PFPA addresses the full spectrum of threats by utilizing a balanced approach of comprehensive protective intelligence and counterintelligence analysis, to include forensic and biometric-enabled information, to determine the appropriate protective posture for personnel and facilities; prevention, preparedness, detection; all-hazards response; DoW emergency management; support the lead response management agency during an emergency or crisis; and provide comprehensive threat assessments, security, and protection services for Office of the Secretary of War personnel and other persons. The PFPA is the DoW focal point for collaborating and coordinating with other DoW Components, other Executive departments and agencies, and State and local authorities on matters involving force protection, security, and law enforcement activities that impact the Pentagon Facilities.
