Receive, store, issue, ship, and inspect ammunition.
Verify quantity of boxes, packages and other items against shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
Complete and maintain shipping documents.
Utilize storage charts and technical manuals to determine ammunition storage locations.
Load ammunition by classes in accordance with loading and storage charts and other pertinent regulations.
Ensure vehicles are not overloaded, and that adequate block and bracing is applied to prevent shifting.
Observe and inspect ammunition in storage for corrosion from moisture and deterioration to take corrective actions.
Operate 6,000-pound forklifts to move, load, unload, transfer, stack or un-stack palletized goods, equipment, materials and supplies from one location to another.
Operate ½ to 2 ½ ton truck to transport materials from one location to another.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
This position is subject to the provisions of the Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban (Lautenberg Amendment). This act bans individuals convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence and certain others from possession or access to firearms or ammunition.
This is a Drug Testing-Designated Position (TDP) under the Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Program. Incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R and must pass a pre-employment drug test and subsequent periodic drug screenings thereafter.
This position has a requirement to lift up to 70 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examinations thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
This is a "Mission Essential" position. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster), will be required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 10% of the time.
Incumbent is subject to a tour of duty to cover a 7-day work operation.
This position requires incumbent to work occasional evenings and/or holidays hours, to include mandatory overtime, as mission dictates.
Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain ammunition certification in accordance with Army Materiel Command (AMC) Regulation 350-4.
Incumbent must successfully clear local screening check on Department of the Army Form 7281, Command Oriented Arms, Ammunition and Explosives Security Screening and Evaluation Record in accordance with Army Regulation 190-11.
Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain installation forklift training certification and license.
The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.

Additional information
Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE) 13 months by a current permanent Army employee. Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however, return rights may be impacted. Position may be made permanent without further competition.
