A HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST, GS-0201-09, you will provide human resources services to Title 32 (T32) Technician, Title 5 (T5), and Active Guard Reserves (AGRs). The position is a remote from the Human Resources Office (HRO) and embedded within the Military Personnel Section. The primary function of this position is to provide guidance, advise, support and clerical assistance on human resource matters to commanders, line supervisors, managers, and technicians at the base or unit organizational level and to coordinate such matters with the HRO. Performs other duties as assigned.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance within a year of appointment.

This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
Position designated as Essential and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. This designation will not exceed 14 calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by the TAG.
Qualifications
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have the ability to analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions. Ability to plan and organize work and communicate effectively orally and in writing.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Specialized experience is experience that prepared the applicant to perform the duties of the position. Such experience includes: Serves as advisor to commanders and supervisors on human resources (HR) programs affecting full-time employees. Monitors nexus between full time personnel and military readiness and advises leadership on impacts of military decisions on full time personnel management. Analyzes data and make determinations regarding various human resources matters that may involve or may affect employees. Knowledge and skill in applying fundamental Human Resource Management laws, principles, systems, policies, methods, and practices; as well as interviewing, analytical, and research techniques sufficient to conduct fact-finding and recommend solutions to moderately difficult but well-precedented and/or recurring issues and problems.
