Provide general instructions, standard procedures, overall priorities and policies, and relies on the employee to control work operations and accomplish an adequate quantity and quality of work.
Plan use of subordinate workers' equipment, facilities, and materials on a week-to-week or month-to-month basis.
Inform higher level supervisors of the need to revise work schedules and re-estimates labor and other resources.
Assign work to employees and provides technical direction and/or assistance in accomplishing the work

Physical Efforts - Works from ladders, scaffolding, and platforms and where the parts of the system worked on are in hard-to-reach places. Required to stand, walk, crawl, stoop, bend, kneel, climb and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Frequently lifts, carries, and sets up tools, equipment and parts that weigh up to 35 pounds. Hand, foot, and eye coordination is required in operating motor vehicles. Frequent arm and leg movement is required.
Working Conditions - Work is performed inside and outside. Inside work is usually in buildings, heated, lighted, and ventilated. Noise from hammers, saws, and other power tools is common. Subject to dust and dirt; cuts and bruises from using hand tools and equipment; or possible more serious injuries from operating power tools or from falls from ladders and scaffolds. Subject to electrical shock and burns. Possibility of injuries as a result of accident.
