Duties

Help
  • Identifies inventory discrepancies, shortages, and unserviceable items and reports them promptly to the supervisor.
  • Prepares and maintains primary hand receipts and sub-hand receipts, executing issues, turn-ins, and adjustment documents.
  • Reconciles on-hand property against the TDA and other authorization documents, preparing excess/shortage reports and requests for authorization changes.
  • Analyzes loss, damage, and shortage trends to determine root causes and implements corrective supply discipline measures with command-level metrics.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination on a periodic basis.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
  • Must be able to travel 15% of the time.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.
  • Must be able to pass the Army Defensive Driver's Training Course.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.

Army DCIPS positions apply Veteran's Preference to preference eligible candidates as defined by Section 2108 of Title 5 U.S.C., in accordance with the procedures provided in DoD Instruction 1400.25, Volume 2005, DCIPS Employment and Placement.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS/GG-09).

Specialized experience is defined as experience 1) executing procurement actions for expendable, durable, nonexpendable, and service requirements using the Government Purchase Card, MILSTRIP requisitioning; 2) coordinating office relocations, overseeing facility maintenance and environmental compliance; AND 3) managing equipment authorizations against authorization documents, and operating automated property and maintenance.

OR

Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR three (3) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Human Resources or Business Administration. NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts for verification.

OR

Specialized experience as described above, but less than one year; AND at least two years of graduate education as described above, but less than the required three years. To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts for verification.

  • COE CON'T: In accordance with DoDM 8140.03 and supplemental Army guidance, the employee must obtainand maintain the following requirements for each Cyber work role (except Data, AI, and/orSoftware Engineering) at the assigned proficiency level: 1) Foundational qualificationrequirements within 9 months, 2) Resident qualification requirements within 12 months, 3) 20hours of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) per work role code (which can overlap).
