Receives, stores, identifies and issues items used by Operations and Maintenance personnel. Typical tools and parts worked with include: drills, power wrenches, tool kits, torque wrenches, chainsaws, augers, pumps, generators etc.
Determines that tools and equipment function properly and that necessary tests, calibration, and repairs are made.
Maintains stock levels by making supply requisitions for parts which are available through local civilian suppliers or military supply channels.
Drives up to a 1-ton pick-up truck to pick up repair parts from local supply and services stores.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Must have or be able to obtain operator’s license for vehicles up to 1-ton.
Position requires a pre-employment and annual physical exam.
