Help
  • You will ensure the continuity, reliability, security, and integrity of operation and business data.
  • You will design and build large complex data sets, from spurious sources thinking strategically about how uses of data and data use interact with data design.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

EXPERIENCE IN APPLYING IN THE AREAS OF INNOVATIVE ADVANCED OPERATIONS RESEARCH, DATA SCIENCE OR COMPUTER SCIENCE SERVING AS A CONSULTANT AND TECHNICAL ADVISOR TO SENIOR SUBJECT MATTER SPECIALIST AND/OR MANAGEMENT OFFICIALS. EXPERIENCE OF UNDERWAY REPLENISHMENT AND LOGISTICS OPERATIONS, ANALYTICAL METHODS, MATHEMATICAL STATISTICS, AND COMPUTER SCIENCE. EXPERIENCE INTERFACING WITH DATA WAREHOUSE, DATA LAKES, AND CLOUD NETWORKS AND THE USE OF SPECIALIZED SOFTWARE TO ENABLE INTERFACE WITH THE SAME. EXPERIENCE IN THE USE OF STATISTICAL AND PROGRAMMING TOOLS SUCH AS R & PYTHON TO ANALYZE DATA ND DEVELOPE SOLUTIONS TO BUSINESS PROBLEMS AND STRONG APPLIED STATISTICS SKILLS.

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

Experience with statistical and programming tools, such as R and Python, analyzing data and developing solutions to business problems, and strong applied statistics skills, such as distribution, statistical testing, and regression. Experience formulating, defining, and interpreting data presentation requirements, planning approaches, and policy. Experience developing standards for analyzing, testing, or assessing emerging technology or methods.

Series definition:
This series covers positions that manage, supervise, lead, or perform scientific work of a mathematical, statistical, or actuarial nature. This series is applicable when the work of the position:

  • is covered by two or more professional series in the Mathematical Sciences Group, 1500, and no one professional series predominates; or
  • is not covered by any one professional series in the Mathematical Sciences Group, but is closely related to work in the Mathematical Sciences Group, 1500.
Note: This qualification standard applies to positions under the General Schedule (GS) pay system and other white collar non-GS pay plans.
Basic Requirements:
  1. Degree: Mathematics, statistics, or actuarial science. The degree must be in a major field of study (at least at the baccalaureate level) that is appropriate for the position.
or
  1. Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major field of study as shown in paragraph A above, plus additional education or appropriate experience.
College Transcripts MUST be provided by all who apply supporting Basic Education Requirement as met!!!
