Direct 3 or more crew members (including a driver-operator) assigned to a shift in structural/airfield firefighting activities and fire related rescue missions.
Assign station maintenance work such as cleaning equipment, maintaining firefighting apparatus and equipment of the fire station, and grounds surrounding the fire station.
Perform a variety of firefighting, hazardous material response, and related aid and rescue work associated with buildings, shops, warehouses, storage areas, and light aircraft.
Take, record, and monitor patient's baseline vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
Duties require full use of both arms, both legs, and fingers to bend, turn, pull, crawl, kneel, and climb for such tasks as use of aerial ladders, firefighting equipment controls,
arranging/connecting hoses, rappelling, operation of fire truck and all types of rescue operations, etc.
Works a 72-hour weekly/144-hour pay period tour of duty.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
