This position requires the incumbent to travel to construction field sites 10%.
The employee will be required to use personal protective equipment such as hard hat, steel toed boots, eye and ear protection when out on field sites.
May encounter walking over rough terrain and uneven surfaces, climbing, stooping, bending, and entering confined spaces at the field sites.
You may be exposed to environmental hazards such as dust, chemicals, bacteria, toxic particulates, machinery, and noise.
Incumbent may encounter adverse weather conditions including heat or cold at the construction field sites.
Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes logging, documenting, and tracking contractor's submittals; analyzing contract schedules; and assisting with resolving construction disputes. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

This is a developmental position. The duties of this position lead to the full performance level of GS-0802-11. The incumbent may be non-competitively promoted to the target level of the position upon
(1) meeting all regulatory requirements, (2) certification by the supervisor of successful performance, (3) completion of all training requirements, and (4) the availability of work at the next higher grade level. Promotion is not automatic.
Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest.
