Help

  • Leads financial systems improvements by developing business requirements, accounting guidance, and standard operating procedures for financial operations.
  • Analyzes and resolves financial reporting, reconciliation, and system issues to ensure accurate financial statements and Treasury reporting.
  • Evaluates and strengthens internal controls by supporting audit activities, assessing system access, and improving financial data integrity.
  • Develops cost estimates, reviews contractor proposals, and provides financial analysis to support acquisitions and procurement decisions.
  • Monitors budget execution, reconciles financial data, and recommends funding adjustments to optimize the use of agency resources.
  • Leads multiple financial projects, collaborates with stakeholders, and provides financial advice to support organizational priorities.

Qualifications

For the GS-13 : You must have have at least one year (52 weeks, full-time) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service (or comparable level of experience from outside the Federal service) performing ALL the following duties:

  • Developing financial business requirements, accounting guidance, or standard operating procedures to support financial systems or internal controls;
  • Analyzing financial data to reconcile discrepancies or resolve financial system errors for accurate financial reporting;
  • Developing cost estimates, reviewing contractor cost proposals or providing financial analysis supporting acquisition activities;
  • Monitoring budget execution to support funds management, resource utilization, or compliance with financial requirements.
For the GS-14: You must have have at least one year (52 weeks, full-time) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service (or comparable level of experience from outside the Federal service) performing ALL the following duties:
  • Conducting research and problem analysis in solving problems in the execution and development of financial and accounting operations, systems, and policies;
  • Providing guidance to senior officials on financial management and accounting management operations, policies, and systems;
  • Analyzing and reviewing financial and accounting data, operations and programs to ensure financial integrity and quality assurance;
  • Developing recommendations and implementing improvements to financial or accounting management policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Developing cost estimates, reviewing contractor cost proposals or providing financial analysis supporting acquisition activities;
