Duties

Help
  • Responsible for initiating, developing, staffing, and disseminating guidance, policies and procedures in the execution and management of modernized Security Cooperation/Security Assistance systems.
  • Responsible for identifying and ensuring the participation of appropriate Army subject matter experts in a variety of ongoing systems project teams.
  • Plans and coordinates the development, summarization, and substantiation of complex financial systems/accounting data affecting numerous accounts and customer codes of several appropriation and trust funds.
  • Utilizes data retrieval techniques and reviews products to identify system and procedural problems and takes corrective action as necessary.
  • Prepares Command position papers and informational papers addressing new system concepts and plans related to the enterprise solution development, identifying possible impacts on Army resources and programs.
  • Provides technical advice on accounting requirements, policies and local procedural systems.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing financial systems to determine the impact on business processes and operations; designing, developing, and maintaining financial systems; and compiling financial data related to budgeting, reporting, financial management, auditing, or accounting.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-xx).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
