Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) AIRCRAFT ATTENDANT (MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATOR) ~ without more than normal supervision. ??????Meeting incoming aircrafts, refueling aircrafts, operating aircraft ground support equipment and servicing aircrafts.I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
PHYSICAL EFFORT: Work requires moderate to heavy physical effort to lift objects (fertilizer, urea, seed, baggage, material, equipment, etc.) weighing up to 100 pounds. Moderate effort is exerted while operating vehicles, marshalling aircraft to parking areas, and in refueling and defueling operations. Frequent kneeling, stooping, bending, reaching, and climbing on or crawling under aircraft is required.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Assignments are performed outside in all types of weather conditions (hot, cold, rain and snow). Incumbent is subject to injury due to falls from aircraft, riding mower equipment and ladders; rotating blades; burns from fuel; high noise levels; and accidents while driving vehicles or tractors. Incumbent performs work where dirt, mud, and fumes are present. The incumbent is required to wear safety shoes, eye goggles, ear/hearing protectors, gloves, coveralls, etc., and follow safety procedures.
Education
