This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Serve as the Government Purchase Card (GPC) Cardholder ordering officer following all standard operating procedures and adhering to all regulations, policies and procedures to make local purchases of required medical material.
Serve as a supply technician and point of contact for property book requisitions and expendable non-medical requisitions.
Serve as a Supply Technician providing the full range of support Department of Health Agency (DHA), DENTAC and Public Health command and satellite organizations.
Perform documentary receipt, transfer, replenishment, adjustment, issue and disposal of property book items and troubleshooting in the automated property accounting system Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS).
Provide management with guidance in the utilization of excess property, inventory reporting, resource sharing and redistribution of automation equipment.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series.
This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
This position is designated as mission essential. The incumbent will be required to ensure continuity of Tripler Army Medical Center's operations during ALL hazard's emergency situations.
One year trial/probationary period may be required.
This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
This position has a requirement to lift up to 50 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.

Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes preparing purchase requests by applying standardized supply regulations, policies, procedures or other instructions related to supply requisitions; and utilizing an automated supply database to purchase or maintain inventory of supplies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
