Prepare and/or works with the project staff in the preparation of various planning documents for the project.
Assist with lake projects' environmental compliance programs.
Oversee the conservation, preservation, restoration and use of all project natural resources.
Provide comments and oversight regarding the recreation sponsor's construction and/or rehabilitation of campsites, picnic sites, roads, and associated structures in the recreation areas.
Explain to the visiting public conditions prevailing within the project area, its purpose, and association with other programs, rules, and regulations affecting use of facilities, etc.
Provide expertise in the management of a water resource project as it pertains to the dam and appurtenant structures in conjunction with daily duties.
Develop guidelines, standards and procedures for analyzing public needs, demands, site carrying capacities and resource capabilities.
Attend training regarding environmental regulations, using the Environmental Review Guide for Operations (ERGO) as a guide.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
