Installs, repairs, overhauls, and performs service and preventive maintenance on a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial air conditioners, air compressors, boilers, dehumidifiers, refrigerators, ventilation systems, and water heaters.
Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment to trace and locate defects and malfunctions.
Makes periodic inspections and necessary adjustments to controls and equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation.
Repairs, installs, overhauls, and/or performs service and preventive maintenance to auxiliary equipment (motors, blowers, pilots, filters, thermostats, pressure stats, humid stats, relays, switches, etc.)
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation (T1).
This position has a requirement to lift up to 50 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.

I have the ability to perform the full range of maintenance and repair duties as a Heating and Air Conditioning Equipment Mechanic. I am skilled in troubleshooting, installing, repairing and modifying heating and air conditioning and refrigeration systems. I work on my own initiative under general supervision subject to occasional inspection --Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
