Duties

Help
  • Serves as the senior logistics systems analyst liaison between Department of War agencies.
  • Maintains the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support / LogiCole systems.
  • Supports enterprise-wide logistics functions across supply, inventory, equipment, maintenance, facilities, and system administration.
  • Provides systems expertise to the Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics/G4.
  • Identifies and resolves systemic issues.
  • Assist with annual audit compliance.
  • Prepares actions responding to internal reviews and agency findings.
  • Guides medical supply chain management, supply accountability policies, and purchasing strategies.
  • Reviews of Medical Surgical Prime Vendor contracts.
  • Oversees integration of new and existing logistics systems.
  • Coordinates with the Drug Enforcement Administration on inventory issues.
  • Conducts assistance visits to assess financial compliance and supply accountability, including budget, hazardous waste management, and controlled substance procedures.
  • Represents the Command at Equipment Validation Review Board.
  • Reviews and approves equipment change.
  • Validates requirements and justification documents with units.

  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a two-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

Qualifications

DHA Research & Development (R&D) is participating in an alternative personnel system known as the Personnel Demonstration Project (PDP). The DJ-04 payband is equivalent to the GS-13 step 1 to GS-14 step 10 level. In keeping with the Demonstration pay fixing policies, employees earning a salary that falls within this payband equivalent, may not receive an immediate pay increase (promotion) if appointed to this position. Future pay increases within the payband will be accomplished through the pay for performance management system.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes

1. Experience operating the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support or LogiCole systems applications;
2. Experience managing supply chain operations, to include property accountability, medical supply processes, purchasing strategies, or logistics contract reviews;
3. Experience conducting staff assistance visits, inspections, or audits to ensure compliance; AND
4. Experience approving Equipment Change Requests.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DJ-03/GS-12).

Education
