This National Guard position is for a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, Position Description Number PDT5902800 and is part of the WY 153d Logistics Readiness Squadron, Wyoming National Guard.

This is a Title 5 Excepted Service position. Military affiliation is not required.
This position is the Wyoming Air National Guard (ANG), 153d Mission Support Group, 153d Logistics Readiness Squadron's Deployment and Distribution Flight, Plans and Integration Section.
Its purpose is to serve as a Logistics Management Specialist with responsibility for developing, planning, organizing, and analyzing wing logistics plans that include multiple units and is the technical expert on all Logistics Information Systems in support of deployment operations. The primary purpose is to implement policy programs and procedures utilizing automated/non automated systems for the accurate control of Wing Logistics planning in support of Aerospace Expeditionary Force/Wing (AEF/AEW) Operations around the world.

7. May be required to participate in contingency readiness exercises, major accident response exercises, and investigations, and perform duties during Nat'l Guard drill periods and annual training.

AREAS OF CONSIDERATION:
Referrals of qualified applicants will be issued in the following order:
Area 1: Permanent and Indefinite Wyoming Air National Guard (NG) T5 and T32 Dual Status Technicians (DST) employed within 153 LRS. Area 2: Permanent and indefinite WYNG Title 5 and T32 DST employees with the Wyoming Air/Army National Guard. Area3: Current Federal employees within the Competitive and Excepted Service, and Competitive Service Reinstatement Eligible employees. Former NG T32 Dual Status employees receiving an Honorable or a General Discharge under Honorable Conditions are eligible for reinstatement provided they have been separated for at least one year before applying for reinstatement and received a rating of record of their most recent permanent position of a least fully successful (or equivalent). Area 4: Currently serving and former Active Guard/Reserve (AGR), and M-Day/Drill Status Guard (DSG) members of the National Guard. This provision is intended to boost the candidate pool to reach more qualified candidates and places DSG/M-Day personnel on par with currently serving civilian personnel.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT:
Must possess experience, education, or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field; and experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess at least one year of specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-9). Must have experience, education, or training which includes identifying activities involving logistical support operations. Experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities to develop a comprehensive logistics plan. Experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan. Experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).
