Duties

Help
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory guidance in the areas of equal opportunity, security, and safety for all assigned personnel.
  • Plans, coordinates, and provides supervision for conducting comprehensive management studies, develops study objectives and plans of action and milestones, assigns workload, monitors accomplishments through completion of study.
  • Develops the overall position on long- and short-range program requirements.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Employee may be required to perform Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) 10% of the time.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08).
  • Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 23 March 2006.
  • One-year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • One-year supervisory probationary period may be required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includesevaluating the progress of the organization towards meeting goals; developing course of action within the established policy to accomplish the organization's mission; and providing leadership to subordinate commands of the organization and staff.


Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).

This position does not allow substitution of education for experience.
