Duties

Help
  • Provides information and assistance to customers including system hardware/software installations, configuration, upgrades and troubleshooting.
  • Prepares and updates manuals, instructions, and operating procedures.
  • Performs routine and recurring assignments in the delivery of Information technology customer support services.
  • Participates in the planning and delivery of full range of Information Technology customer support services to the organization.
  • Provides help desk support, including information and assistance, to customers including system hardware/software installations, configuration, upgrades and troubleshooting. Reports, responds to and resolves customer requests.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-13, i., to include a T3 "Secret" clearance.
  • Must meet DoD 8570.01-M baseline certifications for IAT Level I.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40lbs.
  • A physical and a health assessment are required.
  • Must be able to work M-F Nights and Weekends as required for events.
  • Position requires occasional travel away from the duty station.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following:
Work experience, which demonstrates IT knowledge and skill including:

  1. Participating in the planning and delivery of a full range of IT customer support services
  2. Installing, configuring, upgrading and troubleshooting hardware and software components
  3. Presenting formal and informal training and assistance to customers
  4. Reporting, responding to, and resolving customer requests
OR

Undergraduate or Graduate Education degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks may be substitute for above experience.

NOTE: The above minimum qualifications must be described within the duties of previous work experience listed on the applicant's resume and/or supporting documents. A copy of all documents must be submitted at the time of application.

Education

You may substitute education for experience if you have a bachelor's or graduate degree in a relevant technical field (such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or IT Management), OR any degree with at least 24 semester hours of qualifying technical coursework that included hands-on systems or software development.

Transcripts are required for verification of educational qualification.

  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.

United States Army Installation Management Command

The position is located at United States Army Garrison Dugway Proving Ground, located west of Tooele, Utah, approximately 50 minutes; a 90-minute drive from Salt Lake City, Utah, two hours from world-famous skiing and many outdoor opportunities and only six hours from Denver, Colorado. Dugway offers various alternate work schedule opportunities with most of the workforce working 4 ten-hour shifts Monday through Thursday. Affordable on Post housing is available to accommodate most families or singles. Employees choosing to live off post may use subsidized commuter van transport which operates to and from many of the major cities and towns throughout Utah.
