Maintain diverse network components employed in test and evaluation scenarios to regulate test conditions and capture dynamic measurement data.
Operate network equipment encompassing routers, switches, bridges, servers, and transmission media, as well as related hardware, to assist with operational needs.
Research configuration adjustments, scrutinize proposals, and advise management regarding resource allocations to comply with ongoing analysis of command processes.
Test and maintain network infrastructure, covering both software and hardware elements, to identify potential issues.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Must be able to obtain and maintain TOP SECRET eligibility with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
The IT classification for this position is IT-I. Position is designated as Special Sensitive.
Must successfully pass urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter according to AR 600-85, Army Substance Abuse Program.
This position is subject to alert and operational recall and periodic work schedule changes to meet daily mission operational requirements.
Incumbent is required to provide a reliable method of contact/communication (e.g., telephone/pager) and respond within 1 hour of notification receipt.
This position has been designated as a Key Essential position that cannot be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization and is subject to a 2-hour alert and recall and periodic work schedule changes.
Because of the essential nature of this position, the incumbent cannot be a Ready Reservist, National Guardsman, or Military Retiree with recall obligations.
This position is Mission Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work to support mission operations.
