JOB TITLE:        MCCS     Coordinator
BUSINESS TITLE:  Community Services Supervisor (MCB Butler)
FLSA: Exempt
JOB SERIES:      1101                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      PAY LEVEL:  NF-04
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Incumbent is the direct representative of the Director, Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) MCB Butler and serves as their direct liaison on all MCCS matters occurring at the installation level.  Serves as the senior site supervisor at MCB Butler, overseeing the effective and efficient administration and management of all MCCS operations at the installation.

Directs and supervises Community Service Coordinators assigned to camps throughout the MCB Butler installation.  

Takes action to coordinate matters involving camp and customer issues in a prompt manner.  Serves as primary MCCS representative for camp activities and meets with Camp Commanders or their key staff on a regular basis to discuss the status of pending, present, and/or future MCCS activities, programs, and policies.  Ensures optimum implementation of program offerings and activities that take place throughout the camps and community.  Analyzes CONTACT data and compiles both monthly and annual reports, tracking areas requiring improvement.

Develops and submits comprehensive operating and capital budgets to support ongoing programs and proposed program offerings.  Provides program managers with administrative and technical support as it pertains to developing program budgets, implementing marketing strategies, and initiating facility maintenance programs.  Develops standard operating procedures and letter of instructions, in accordance with organizational standards, to ensure operational objectives and camp policies are communicated to all assigned personnel.

Responsible for employee evaluations, recommending and taking appropriate disciplinary action, forwarding nominations for awards and promotion and resolving disputes and complaints.  

Directs/supervises a staff of Community Service Coordinators (CSC) and administrative support staff and coordinates with the MCCS Finance Office on a variety of fiscal issues related to MCCS activity support.  Studies service standards, marketing efforts and customer ICE submissions in order to identify areas on the camp which may require service improvement.  Coordinates with facility managers to aid in correcting deficiencies noted by ICE submissions.  Conducts twice annual MCCS facility risk assessments on the camp assigned.

Assists Managers in implementing research projects capable of resolving any noted deficiencies.  
Conducts periodic briefings promoting MCCS services to all camp personnel including temporarily assigned Unit Deployed Personnel (UDP), through the use of focus groups or unit orientations and requested by Camp and/or Unit Commanders. 

Works with Deployment Readiness Coordinators (DRC) in support of events planned and executed on behalf of spouses and children of deployed personnel and Unit Family Days.  Coordinates availability of equipment and other logistics in support of these events.
 
Compiles information from CSC located throughout the MCB Butler installation and coordinates with MCCS executive and senior management staff on the issues that may arise at camp levels and informs management of individual camp concerns.  

Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy.  Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner.  Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact.  

Develops and ensures implementation of an activity safety program in accordance with the MCCS and Base Safety Program.  Advises employees of available safety regulations, instructions, materials and equipment.  Promptly reports workplace accidents to the Human Resources Office.  Complies with OSHA standards and takes action to correct unsafe or unhealthy working conditions.  Ensures employees understand safety infractions that can result in disciplinary actions, and follows through with appropriate action.  Ensures minimal loss of duty by complying with ¿Return To Work¿ program initiatives, and following up on employee well-being.

Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
1.    Four years of experience demonstrating progressively more responsible managerial work, a high degree of interpersonal communication, and analytical skills to adapt and respond to diverse situations unique to the military lifestyle.  
2.    Must have familiarity with US Marine Corps traditions and customs.
3.    Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written communications with Camp Commanders, camp activity managers, and senior MCCS management.
4.    Must have experience working independently in a fast-paced, suspense-driven work environment.  

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
1.    Must possess the ability to lead and manage personnel resources and establish cooperative relationships with military and civilian personnel at all levels.
2.    Ability to independently present and defend critical MCCS program decisions to Camp Commanders and patrons, as necessary.
3.    Must possess strong customer services skill and be able to tactfully communicate with all levels of the military and civilian community.
4.    Knowledge of local command and Marine Corps chain of command, rank structures, directives system and overall military hierarchies as well as the dynamics of special staff member relationships.
5.    Skills to operate a personal computer and associated peripherals, to include software used for briefs and presentations and official command communication.
