Summary

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
The employee will wear the Corps' authorized uniform in the performance of duties as prescribed by AR 670-10 and supplements.
Incumbent must receive a minimum of 24 hours of personal protection/unarmed self defense, situational evaluation, and tactical communication training within two years of employment.
Incumbent must possess or be able to acquire first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and blood-borne pathogen training.
Work nights and weekends.
Possess or ability to acquire a state driver's license and COE boat operator license.
Occasional overnight travel.
TDY is required up to 10% of the time.
Position is subject to pre-employment and random drug testing in accordance with AR 600-85.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes leading and mentoring others AND two (2) of the following: a) Administering the conservation or use of natural resources; b) Implementing plans for the construction or improvement of facilities; c) Developing or administering service or minor construction contracts. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education with major study in natural resource management, natural sciences, earth sciences, history, archeology, anthropology, park and recreation management, law enforcement/police science, social sciences, museum sciences, business administration, public administration, behavioral sciences, sociology, or other closely related subjects pertinent to the management and protection of natural and cultural resources.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
