Duties

Help
  • Serves as a Support Assistant reviewing work of lower level clerks to ensure proper processing procedures and initiates corrective action whenrequired. Assists in training new employees on established eligibility requirements for membership.
  • Incumbent also performs clerical duties for various locations and related clerical functions requiring use of on-line computer system. Receives, confirms, and processes membership applications and renewals face to face and via mail.
  • Receives mail and fax correspondence and processes necessary actions, performs the full range of cash management duties to include receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, and safeguarding of cash, checks, and debit and charge card receipts.
  • Ensures that all monies are accounted for, reconciling any discrepancies, preparing bank deposits and balancing retained cash funds. Prepares cashier’s reports and notifies supervisor of any suspected irregularities.
  • Processes requests for reservations. Responds to customer inquiries and complaints providing general information and assistance, referring any unanswerable questions to management for action.

  • Ability to work an irregular schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and split-shifts.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following:

  • Progressively responsible work experience directly related to the duties described above. Ability to type 40 words per minute. Ability to effectively communicate with others.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":
  • Demonstrates experience reviewing the administrative work of lower-level staff for procedural compliance and formally training new personnel on organizational eligibility requirements.
  • Proven ability to independently execute full-cycle cash management, including fund reconciliation, deposit preparation, and secure handling of diverse payment methods (cash, checks, card receipts).
  • Extensive experience utilizing on-line computer systems to accurately process, track, and manage high volumes of daily correspondence across multiple channels.
  • Strong background in front-line customer service, adept at processing reservations, resolving routine inquiries, and effectively escalating complex issues to management.
  • A track record of maintaining strict accountability and safeguarding of funds, physical records, and daily administrative operations in a dynamic, multi-location environment.

Allowances and Differentials
  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA) will not be paid.
