Summary

This is a NAF position with the 17th Force Support Squadron, located at Outdoor Recreation, within the Community Services Flight on Goodfellow AFB, San Angelo, Texas. This position is considered Flexible. The position is not guaranteed any hours, but has the potential to work up to 40 hours per week. You may be required to work some nights, weekends and holidays. As a flexible employee, you are not eligible for leave or benefits.

Help

  • Maintains cabins, campers and bathhouses in an orderly manner.
  • Sweeps, mops, strips, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors using industrial type power equipment.
  • Dusts, waxes, and polishes furniture. Dusts ledges and woodwork.
  • Cleans glass partitions, inside and outside windows, campers and cabin porches using stepladders and extension ladders.
  • Maintains restrooms in clean, orderly, and sanitary conditions. Cleans, disinfects, and deodorizes, lavatories, urinals, and toilet bowls.
  • Reports water leaks, clogged drains, and other conditions requiring maintenance to supervisor. Maintains supply of cleaning materials, and advises supervisor when more supplies are needed, or when equipment needs repair of replacement.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
Ability to properly use cleaning and sanitizing solutions. Ability to clean and make adjustments to powered cleaning equipment. Ability to perform the full range of cleaning duties. Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions involving duties with several distinct tasks or steps. Ability to occasionally lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to continuously stand, bend, stoop, and reach for long periods of time.Satisfactory completion of pre-employment physical is required due to heavy lifting/carrying requirements of up to 50 pounds and physical efforts of the position. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Successful completion and favorable adjudication of applicable background investigation (Tier 1 Level) is required.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
