Duties

Help
  • Works with staff, clients, and operating and support elements to sell and manage the business of providing functions and events for a restaurant and catering operations in support of command directives and guidance.
  • In conjunction with command guidance and management personnel, reviews, evaluates, develops, and implements budgetary goals, service standards and policies, forecasts, and staffing levels.
  • Review all processes, and develops detail process improvement plans and actions to increase the effectiveness and productivity of the full range of catering/banquet/event and entertainment activities.
  • Performs a review of all catered/banquet/event and entertainment functions for coordination and integration of the delivery of services across the restaurant and catering staff.
  • Reviews customer feedback and perform analysis and identification of actions to demonstrate continuous customer service improvement.
  • Supervises the restaurant and catering staff functions. Performs the full range of supervisory duties over assigned staff.

  • The ability to obtain (within first six months of employment) and maintain a Food Protection Manager Certification acquired through an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredited agency is required.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following:

- Minimum of one (1) year experience in business management
- Responsible management experience in banquet, catering, and special events. Must be well organized with an attention to detail.
- Must possess ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Must have well-developed computer, organizational, time management, prioritization and writing abilities, with an aptitude for learning new skills. - - - --- Demonstrated knowledge of PC computer programs including Microsoft operating system, Excel and PowerPoint required.
- Desired is a knowledge and experience with property and institutional management systems (Opera, Benchmark, Sales and Catering Systems, Miracle, Central Reservation Systems, etc.)

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Qualified":

Two (2) or more years operating a catering or restaurant operation
Two (2) years experience operating CaterEase or Food Trak ServSafe Certificate
