Help
  • Serves as an Executive Assistant and Advisor to the DISA Global Commander, Technical Director and Senior Enlisted Leader.
  • Coordinates distribution of information or materials with external entities; coordinates meeting/seminar/conference logistics.
  • Serves as a timekeeper and maintains time and attendance for the Command.
  • Prepares travel arrangements for all Command Group members in the Defense Travel System (DTS), to include detailed itinerary, flight arrangements, lodging, rental car, and scheduling meetings at location.
  • At the GG-12 level, acts as the primary Task Officer/Action Officer, facilitating all tasks and suspense items for the command.

  • This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
  • This position has been designated as "Mission Essential." Incumbent will be required to report to work or relocate to a new duty location, within the United States, in times of local/national emergency.
  • A three year trial period may be required if you have not previously completed a trial or probationary period in the excepted or competitive service.

Qualifications

In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.

Qualifying Experience:

To qualify at the GG-09 grade level, your resume must describe at least one year of qualifying experience equivalent to the GS/GG-07 grade level in the Federal service. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position at the GG-09 level, qualifying experience is defined as experience assisting in drafting and reviewing standard executive correspondence, memos, and briefings; maintaining multiple calendars for senior-level staff; and scheduling and coordinating meetings.

To qualify at the GG-11 grade level, your resume must describe at least one year of qualifying experience equivalent to the GS/GG-09 grade level in the Federal service. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position at the GG-11 level, qualifying experience is defined as experience independently drafting and reviewing executive correspondence, memos, and briefings; maintaining multiple calendars for senior-level staff; scheduling and coordinating meetings; and tracking action items or taskers using a data system.

To qualify at the GG-12 grade level, your resume must describe at least one year of qualifying experience equivalent to the GS/GG-11 grade level in the Federal service. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position at the GG-12 level, qualifying experience is defined as directing, editing, reviewing, and finalizing executive correspondence for executive signature, memos, and briefings; maintaining multiple senior-level staff calendars; scheduling and coordinating meetings; directing the workflow of action items or taskers using a data system; and executing travel arrangements and final authorizations utilizing the Defense Travel System (DTS).

Education

GG-9 Substitution of Education for Experience: Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education, Master's or equivalent graduate degree, may be substituted to meet the qualifying experience requirement. If you are using education to substitute for the qualifying experience, you must submit transcripts at the time you apply.

GG-11 Substitution of Education for Experience: Three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree may be substituted to meet the qualifying experience requirement. If you are using education to substitute for the qualifying experience, you must submit transcripts at the time you apply.

GG-12: Education is not substitutable for qualifying experience at the GG-12 grade level.


To be creditable, education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university. You must report only attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions that are recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services at the time of application.
