Duties

Help
  • Integrate Knowledge Management (KM) and Data Science to drive data-driven decisions and secure institutional continuity.
  • Bridge the gap between operational personnel, technical teams, and training developers to ensure requirements are feasible and effective.
  • Synchronize requirements efforts across multiple organizations to ensure unity of effort and maximize joint operational readiness.
  • Provide executive oversight to ensure validated requirements are actionable, measurable, and successfully integrated into operational and training environments.
  • Exercise decision-making authority over personnel actions, including approving expenses, travel, within-grade increases, awards, and position classifications.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET SCI clearance as a condition of employment and must complete a counterintelligence scope polygraph exam.
  • Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • This is a Drug Testing Designated Position. This position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program. The incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R.
  • Must pass urinalysis testing, as required, prior to appointment, reassignment, or transfer and periodically thereafter.
  • The incumbent must meet NSA personnel security requirements outlined in NSA/CSS Policy 5-1.
  • Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military and/or commercial aircraft up to 25% of the time.
  • The incumbent may be recalled to duty, may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays, and may be required to work overtime.
  • TDY travel may be required up to 25% of the time.
  • This position is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1599f.
  • This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster)
  • the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
  • This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
  • A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

This position is in the Supervision/Management category at the Expert level within the CES Occupational Structure.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Applicant must have one year of directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by 1.) Serving as the designated authority for comprehensive cyber training programs; 2.) Leading the design of strategic processes that transform critical operational shortfalls into validated national security capabilities; and 3.) Modernizing the joint cyber workforce to defeat rapidly evolving, highly technical mission threats.

Education
