The United States Space Force (USSF) at Randolph AFB, Bexar, TX is searching for a Division Chief for the Guardian Support Management Office to support HQ S1/ETM-TMG (NH-0201-04, GS 14/15 equivalent).

Description:
Are you a visionary leader ready to shape the future of the United States Space Force? We are seeking a dynamic, enterprise-level executive to spearhead the Guardian Support Management Office (GSMO). In this pivotal role, you will serve as the definitive technical authority and principal civilian leader architecting the strategic support vision for our Guardians on Non-Sustained Duty (GNSD). If you are a self-starting collaborator who thrives on solving highly complex workforce challenges, driving legislative-level policy modernization, and leading a multi-functional military and civilian team, this is your next mission. You will directly impact the well-being and operational readiness of substantial numbers of service members, serving as the voice of advocacy to senior leadership across HQ USSF and the Department of the Air Force.
Daily, you will be the driving force behind our human capital strategy--mentoring staff, resolving high-stakes organizational issues, and ensuring our workforce remains agile. You will serve as the Chief Resource Advisor, expertly steering the division's annual budget, securing vital funding through POM/UFR cycles, and optimizing military personnel entitlements, medical readiness, and mobilization strategies. This is not a passive advisory role; it is an executive-level, supervisory position where your decisions directly shape global Space Force operations. If you have the strategic grit to lead, the fiscal acumen to build, and the heart to mentor the next generation of space power, apply today.

Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is a seasoned enterprise leader who has successfully commanded or directed multi-functional teams within a military or federal personnel infrastructure. With years of progressive Federal/DoD Program Management, Master's Degree in Public Admin, HR, or Strategic Policy.

Key Skills and Abilities:
1. Mastery of, and skill in applying, the principles, practices, and concepts of program management to direct a complex, multi-faceted organization and provide strategic leadership for a major military personnel program.
2. Expert knowledge of the full range of supervisory and human resource management principles to lead, manage, and develop a diverse team of military and civilian employees.
3. Expert knowledge of military personnel and administration programs, including entitlements, readiness, medical case management, and mobilization, with the ability to synthesize this knowledge to create and implement strategic policy.
4. Mastery of strategic planning, resource management, and budgetary principles to effectively manage and justify the resources required for a large-scale, geographically dispersed personnel support program.
5. Skill in oral and written communication to articulate and defend complex program and policy decisions, negotiate effectively with senior leaders, and represent the organization with authority in high-level interagency forums.
6. Ability to analyze, interpret, and apply complex legislative and regulatory guidance, and to direct data-driven analysis to solve systemic problems and provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
7. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare speeches, presentations, and official documents.
8. Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness in all tasks and communications.
9. Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships, work collaboratively with diverse groups, and facilitate team efforts.
10. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.
