Duties

Help

Specific duties include:

  1. Evaluates and provides input for efficient utilization of space to include floor plans and design, ensuring proper cubicle design and required infrastructure.
  2. Provides property management services including facilities, trouble calls, analyzing equipment requirements, remedying equipment repairs, conducting inventories, and disposing of equipment and furniture.
  3. Oversees the fleet management program by coordinating day-to-day functions by documenting and authorizing operators, scheduling utilization and maintenance, and submitting required reports.
  4. Conducts fact-finding or analyses to determine facility requirements based on RO organizational needs, service deficiencies, and appropriate resolutions to identified issues.
  5. Responsible for the administration of the Personal Identify Verification (PIV) system, ensures proper issuance of PIV cards and manages administration roles. Acts as the PIV liaison as required.
  6. Provide forms and publication services which consists of printing, reproduction and distribution of forms. Ensures equipment requirements are met for all forms and publications activities.
  7. Evaluates and provides input into security plans and reports. Coordinates building security with appropriate authorities. Produces all reports associated with security.
  8. Evaluates and provides input and recommendations for procedural improvements in all administrative functional areas.
  9. Coordinates with acquisition personnel in acquiring office supplies and equipment, stores and distributes office supplies and equipment, and conducting inventories.
  10. Participates in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
  11. Participates in the stations safety program by providing input, tracking and implementation of safety related items

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement:08/27/2026.

TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENT: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.

  • For a GS-11 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-09 level.
The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials.

In order to be found qualified, applicants must meet the OPM Individual Occupational Requirement (IOR) below:

Specialized Experience: One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower level (GS-09) in the normal line of progression that demonstrated knowledge of the methods and procedures for providing or performing a variety of functions and services applicable to the position to be filled; ability to plan, organize, and control work involving diverse activities; ability to gain cooperation and coordinate the work of others; and skill in oral and written communications. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include:
  • Management analyst or technician or other work that included study, analysis, or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of managerial or administrative policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Administrative officer or assistant, budget administration, program analysis, or other work that demonstrated knowledge of an organization and its functions, and the ways in which support services can facilitate the work of the organization.
  • Office management experience that included responsibility for directing a variety of support services such as typing, mail processing, purchase of supplies and equipment, etc.
  • Secretarial work that required monitoring and coordinating administrative and processing work of subordinate elements through a system of internal procedures, controls, production, progress reporting, etc., to insure the efficient operation of an organization.
  • Military experience that included responsibility for directing a variety of support functions such as communications, property management, mail service, facilities and equipment maintenance, etc.
OR

Education: Graduate Education: Major study -- public administration, business administration, industrial engineering, industrial management, or other administrative or management fields related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience may be required for such positions.
  • A Ph.D., equivalent doctoral degree, or three (3) full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M, if related.
Note: Equivalent combinations of education and experience are also qualifying for grade levels for which both education and experience are acceptable.

AND

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT: You may qualify based on your experience as described below after meeting the OPM Individual Occupational Requirement (IOR):GS-11 Grade Level: Specialized Experience: One (1) year of Specialized Experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS 09). Specialized experience is defined as:
  1. Experience developing and interpreting administrative policies and requirements and reviewing the work of other team members.
  2. Experience assisting with any facility issues, equipment, service operation design projects; and analyzing and assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of various administrative programs.
  3. Experience with the renovation of existing office space, relocation of a team and/or office, facility improvements, workspace adjustments, and/or minor construction, etc.
  4. Experience administering government regulations relating to environmental, health, safety, and/or security standards which can be gained through such activities as conducting safety and/or security inspections, assisting or monitoring a safety and/or security program, and/or identifying and/or resolving safety and/or security deficiencies.
  5. Experience analyzing use of space and facilities, safety and/or security inspections, and/or minor construction budgets, etc. and advising management accordingly.
  6. Experience in property management, inventory of supplies and/or equipment, procurement of supplies and/or equipment, and/or vehicle management, etc.
  1. Experience in administration and management of an identity card program, to include, card stock inventory management, card issuance, administrative oversight of role-holders, and issuing cards, as necessary.

Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Full vs. Part-Time Employment: Full-time employment is considered to be at least 35 hours per week. Part-time experience will be credited on a pro-rated basis; when including part-time employment in your resume you must specify the average hours worked per week.

Physical Requirements: The work is primarily of a sedentary nature. There are occasional periods of walking, standing, bending, and carrying of light items.
