Help
  • You will provide position management and classification support to assigned organizations under various personnel systems.
  • You will provide advice and assistance on automated personnel programs.
  • You will advise management concerning group effects of organizational change.
  • You will undertake special studies/research for assigned area on problems that relate to position management, organizational structure and classification.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

GS-09:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Must have a general knowledge of the federal HR classification and compensation processes in order to understand the complexities of this work. Skill in conducting research and communicating results orally and in writing. Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, policies, and practices to provide advice and guidance to officials, supervisors, and employees on a variety of HR functions. Ability to analyze problems to identify significant factors, gathering pertinent data, and recognizing solutions. Experience planning and organizing work, and communicating factual and procedural HR information clearly, verbally, and in writing.

GS-07:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Ability to perform highly structured, entry-level work designed to develop broader and more in-depth assignments used within HR functions; communicating factual and procedural HR information clearly both orally and in writing; and gathering and analyzing basic facts and drawing conclusions regarding HR processes.

Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

GS-09:
master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related

GS-07:
1 full year of graduate level education

or

superior academic achievement
