Plans, recommends, coordinates, manages and evaluates major projects, studies andactions related to the development, introduction, incorporation and sustainment of Army, OSHA andjoint base safety.
Researches, studies, and evaluates operations and risks, and identifies/develops methods/techniques to control/eliminate hazardous conditions that occur during daily operations and exercises.
Develops safety alerts and messages to inform units of unsafe equipment or conditions which are timely.
Reports all aspects of the safety program directly to Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) Safety Directorate.
Studies Brigade or office operations, structure, work flow, equipment, mission, and other technical aspects.
Develops and provides 93d Signal Brigade-wide policies and procedures for hazardous materials including the identification, storage, handling, use, disposal and transportation of the commodities.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain all applicable certification requirements for this position as outlined in the CP-12 Professional Certificate Program for Safety Professionals within six months of hire date.
Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
Incumbent may be required to travel TDY up to 35% of the time.
