You will make recommendations for advance planning for crew work assignments, order materials necessary for the job, and mobilize resources needed to execute work assignments.
You will be responsible for scheduling equipment outages and coordinating work efforts with other crews and contractors.
You will provide verbal or written reports to higher level supervisors that describe the status of work assignments, causes of delay, and technical or personnel problems encountered while executing work assignments.
You will participate in job hazard analyses, request and hold safe clearances, and maintain a safe work environment for your crew.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
This position requires a Secret Clearance. A background investigation and credit check are required.
This position requires an Information Assurance level I Certification within 6 months.
This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter.
This position has a requirement to lift up to 45 lbs.

Physical Effort: The incumbent handles heavy parts and equipment and works in cramped quarters in tiring positions. Physical effort requires climbing stairs and ladders, and lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and twisting objects frequently weighing up to, and occasionally over, 45 pounds, and standing for long periods of time on hard surfaces. Ability to work in awkward positions requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling and twisting. A high degree of concentrated mental and visual attention is necessary to determine cause of trouble and to plan and carry out corrective action; to interpret complex drawings; and to coordinate a high degree of manual dexterity with close visual attention for sustained periods. Ability to distinguish colors is essential.
Working Conditions: Works both inside and outside the powerhouse other structures, and outdoors. Outside work subjects employee to usual climate conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow). Work is often unpleasant due to weather, dirt, grease, dust, high noise levels, etc. There is danger of serious injury or death if employee contacts energized equipment and danger of drowning when working above swift moving water. May work with a variety of toxic or caustic materials. Required to work in concrete structures. There is a possibility of cuts, burns, falls, and electrical shock Employee is subject to the discomfort of wearing required safety equipment such as ear plugs, hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, safety harness, etc. Must wear appropriate safety equipment and protective clothing, and successfully complete and maintain all occupational health requirements.
