Summary

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Employee must meet the requirements of AMCR 350-4, Training and Certification Program for Personnel Working in Ammunition Operations.
Incumbent will be subject to random drug testing IAW AR 600-85.
Position is subject to the Lautenberg Amendment.
Incumbent must be cleared IAW requirements of AR 190-11, Physical Security of Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives (AA and E).
Incumbent must successfully complete training in hazardous waste management procedures within six (6) months after the date of appointment to this position and will not work in unsupervised situations until these training requirements have been met.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Industrial Equipment Mechanic ~ without more than normal supervision. Installing, maintaining, and/or repairing general industrial plant machinery and equipment. Interpreting detailed specifications in detecting malfunctions and determining corrective measures. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
Physical Effort: Frequently handles objects weighing up to 45 pounds, and with help, occasionally carries objects weighing over 45 pounds for considerable distances. Work requires frequent bending, stooping, standing, pushing, pulling, crawling, and/or climbing for sustained periods of time.
Working Conditions: Work is performed inside and outside. Incumbent is subject to weather conditions; exposure to shop and considerable equipment noise; smashed fingers, bruises, and strained muscles while positioning equipment and components; burns from hot chips and welding and electrical equipment; and falls from elevated ramps, ladders, and inclined structures.
