United States (U.S.) Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.
Work under general supervision of the bowling facility manager who provides assignments either orally or through work orders.
Maintains, adjusts, and repairs a variety of bowling equipment having mechanical, electrical and electronic parts, components and assemblies.
Diagnoses equipment malfunctions, but referring to manufacturer's diagrams and specifications, schematics, and wiring diagrams using testequipment such as continuity testers, voltmeters, ohmmeters and feeler gages.
Conducts operational checks, visually checking for worn or damaged parts, traces wiring, disassembles, and makes necessary adjustments,repairs or replaces defective parts, cleans, lubricates, and reassembles the equipment.
Makes such repairs and adjustments as re-timing cams and gears; measuring and regulating the sweep of rakes; replacing broken or worn pins,rods, brushes, bolts, belts, tension springs; filing contact points; and cleaning and lubricating parts.
Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.

Incumbent must be available to work shifts that may include days, nights, weekends and holidays.
Work requires frequent bending, climbing, reaching, stooping, standing and working in awkward positions. Work involves frequent lifting part up to 40lbs and occasionally working with parts up to 100 lbs.

Highly Qualified Criteria:
Must be skilled in use of standard electrical test equipment, such as voltmeters, ohmmeters continuity testers, and test lamps.
Must be able to perform such repairs as soldering loose connections, burnishing contact points, splicing, insulating exposed wires, replacing defective printed circuit boards.

Allowances and Differentials
This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week -- whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM.
Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
