Duties

Help
  • You will manage resources including human, aviation material inventories, and fiscal; fiscal resources include Aircraft Operations Maintenance (AOM), reimbursable, and plant and minor property, materials and supplies, and contract services.
  • You will analyze program costs, develop annual/multi-year and long-range fiscal/program plans and evaluate programs for reducing costs of delivery while meeting customer needs.
  • You will review divisional operations for compliance with established procedures and/or deletion/modification of obsolete procedures.
  • You will train and develop new officers in aviation supply support procedures.
  • You will exercise direct and indirect supervision over approximately 90 civilian and military personnel ranging in grades GS-4 to GS-11, WG-4 to WG-6, and E-1 to O-3.
  • You will serve as Chief financial advisor for an Aircraft Operations Maintenance (AOM) annual budget.
  • You will review, analyze, and ensure validity and assurance of Naval Aviation Logistics Command Management Information System (NALCOMIS) and other locally generated financial reports.
  • You will direct and analyze the application of new system programs and directives.
  • You will direct departmental operations to provide for scheduling the issue of material to meet required delivery dates, liaison between squadrons, tenant activities, and deploying carriers;
  • You will direct the storage, maintenance-in-storage, and issue operations for aviation material.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Coordinating and evaluating inventory management operations for material supply to ensure readiness of combat aviation systems (such as aircraft, weapon systems, ground equipment).
