This National Guard position is for a PROGRAM MANAGER (DEPUTY MISSION SUPPORT OFFICER), Position Description Number T58064P1 and is part of the PA 193rd Special Operations Wing, National Guard.

As a Program Manager (Deputy Mission Support Officer), GS-0340-13, you will serve as a full assistant to the Mission Support Group Commander. Assist the Mission Support Group Commander to implement the host Mission Support Group portion of the Designed Operational Capability (DOC) statement of the unit and/or the Emergency War Orders (EWO). Monitor the unit Status of Resources and Training Systems (SORTS) and AEF Reporting Tool (ART) reports for all mission support functions to reflect unit mission capability under wartime conditions. Oversee the management and direction of the host Mission Support and Military Personnel Flights. Provide oversight of base-wide logistics readiness functions, to include supply, transportation/traffic management, vehicle operations and maintenance, fuels management, and logistics plans and programs, to ensure the primary peacetime and wartime flying mission of the wing/base is supported at all times. Perform other duties as assigned.

May be required to successfully complete a trial period.

TEMPORARY PROMOTION/REASSIGNMENT: Currently employed permanent technician selected will occupy this position as a Promotion not to exceed or Reassignment as appropriate in their present status.
INDEFINITE: Indefinite employment status pertains to applicant nominated, who are not a currently employed permanent technician. Indefinite appointments may acquire permanent status depending upon future force structure requirements; indefinite appointments do not serve a trial period. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience with analyzing problems to identify significant factors, gathering pertinent data, and recognizing solutions; planning and organizing work; and communicating effectively orally and in writing
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Application must indicate at least 36 months experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled? To be creditable, specialized experience can be evaluating and monitoring combat readiness of all mission support functions, participating in the strategic planning process at the state and Federal level, assisting the Mission Support Group Commander to ensure Civil Engineering support is available for mission requirements and base needs, and making recommendations to the group budget based on unit requirements and the mission.
QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled.
