Specialized Experience:
Have one year of specialized experience which includes the following. 1) provide research and information to analyze difficult and complex problems reported by computer users for issues such as specific software applications or operating systems; 2) Assist the director in managing the organization's computer processes or resources; and 3) visit job sites to collect data such as engineering specifications pertaining to various facilities or associate utility systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09)
OR
Have successfully completed a Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Major study-computer science, information science, information systems management, mathematics, statistics, operations research, or engineering, or course work that required the development or adaptation of computer programs and systems and provided knowledge equivalent to a major in the computer field.
