Acts as an individual contributor and/or member of a team and may perform some leadership functions for small projects/programs or other work activities.

Applies experience and advanced knowledge of assignments to plan and accomplish assignments. Assignments may also include: tracking and analyzing data to ensure compliance with policies and procedures; providing guidance to less-experienced professionals in day-to-day operations; identifying, analyzing, and recommending solutions for complex/difficult problems; and recommending improvements to systems and processes.

The incumbent will support the FAA Logistics Center by examining data from multiple disparate sources with the goal of providing new insight for the management of projects. Designs and implements custom algorithms, flow processes, and layouts for complex, enterprise scale data sets used for modeling, data mining and research purposes and to provide reports of Group operational and financial goals. Support development of the Group's business plan. Analyze deviations in data from planned business results for root causes. Develop information as requested for managers to plan business operations. The incumbent maintains databases to measure the effectiveness and/or efficiency of FAA Logistics Center financial and operational program goals and objectives in order to provide optimum customer support.

May have frequent contacts with customers and other external parties on routine matters such as gathering information, explaining regulations, and discussing the customer's situations.

Established policies/procedures provide guidance for most assignments but allow considerable discretion for employee to select the most appropriate approach(es) or recommend new approaches. Assignments often require reviews of policies and precedents under the limited guidance of a manager or other employee.
