Duties

Help
  • Serves as an action officer under the Lead Special Events Coordinator. Appointed to support the planning, coordination, and execution of major special events.
  • Facilitates communication and coordination between functional representatives. Serves as a lead for appointed duties in support of the planning, coordination, and execution of major special events.
  • Develops site layouts and logistical support requirements. Coordinates facility, equipment, transportation, utility, and infrastructure support. Works with installation agencies and DFMWR activities to support event execution.
  • Assists with the development of event planning documents, including OPORDs, CONOPs, Risk Assessments, site plans, and supporting documentation.
  • Assists with development of staffing plans for special events. Coordinates volunteer support and event workforce requirements. Tracks staffing requirements and assists with personnel accountability during events.

  • Work experience and/or education related to the duties to be performed.
  • Work requires the use of physical exertion when preparing for and overseeing events.

Allowances and Differentials
  • This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week -- whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM.
  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
