Help
  • Serves as the Records Coordinator ; maintains, surveys, and controls electronic and physical records to ensure full compliance with Engineering and Construction Division ISO standards, including preparing files for NARA transfer or destruction.
  • Screens, routes, and distributes incoming correspondence; manages a formal suspense and tracking system to ensure timely responses; and drafts replies to routine, non-technical, and administrative inquiries on own initiative.
  • Prepares monthly administrative reports and presentations using database, spreadsheet, and graphics software; automates reporting methods; and requisitions office supplies and IT equipment using a government purchase card (GPC) protocol.
  • Coordinates with the Sub-Hand Receipt Holder to track, survey, and account for all nonexpendable property ; updates the master property book database; and maintains the organization's Document Control Register.
  • Provides travel policy guidance to staff and prepares all official travel requests, vouchers, and associated mission-travel documentation.
  • Acts as the primary timekeeper utilizing the Corps of Engineers automated timekeeping system; manages and audits comprehensive time and leave records, including overtime, payroll corrections, LWOP, and family leave programs.
  • Serves as the organization's Training Coordinator; administers annual training surveys; assists personnel with Individual Development Plans (IDPs); and coordinates specialized technical training courses with civilian personnel and instructors.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Minimum Qualifications at the GS-06: Qualified applicants will describe in their resume at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level in federal service with with 1) Preparing travel requests and/or reimbursement or similar type payment vouchers and billing invoices; 2) Inputting, tracking or gathering data/information from various automated and non-automated systems; 3) Maintaining and tracking office property inventory, and/or 4) Reviewing business correspondence for proper formatting, spelling, and grammar.

Education at the GS-06: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Administration.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience at the GS-06: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).

Education

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
