Summary

About the Position: Serve as Information Technology Inventory Specialist and Mail Clerk with primary responsibilities to manage IT Inventory and Mail Distribution Operations in accordance with federal statutory and regulatory guidance.
This is a developmental position filled at GS-05, GS-06, or GS-07 levels. The incumbent will perform assignments under closer than normal supervision. The full performance GS-07 level of this position entails the following duties.
Serve as focal point for the requisition, receipt, storage, issue, and disposal of IT property and equipment.
Receive and dispatch accountable mail.
Coordinate delivery of IT equipment and systems between receiving point and IT department.
Ensure that IT equipment has been properly tested and coded prior to disposition of equipment.
Perform monthly inventory reconciliation reports of all purchases and delivered items.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
This position requires that the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance.

Specialized Experience GS-05: One year of specialized experience which includes:
Utilize automated systems to run reports, update records, or process a variety of electronic documents;
Maintain electronic database information;
Scan and file documents for future reference; or
Research regulations to determine compliance
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).
OR Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
Specialized Experience GS-06: One year of specialized experience which includes:
Receive, store, issue, or ship supplies in accordance with supply regulation;
Update and maintain supply inventory files in accordance with regulatory guidelines; and
Create or edit supply documents for completeness and correctness of data
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
OR Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages.
Specialized Experience GS-07: One year of specialized experience which includes:
Research, interpret, and apply supply regulations;
Research files and electronic databases to identify discrepancies and correct the error;
Reconstruct complex supply transactions; and
Compile and analyze supply data to update inventory
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
