Duties

Help
  • Developing ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate disparate data sources. Analyzing complex data flows, system dependencies, and data lineages
  • Structuring unstructured and structured data for cloud modernizations. Architecting solutions using cloud storage (blob, data lakes, tiering).
  • Conducting systems analysis on instrumentation data acquisition systems. Upskilling team members on data analytics, data governance, artificial intelligence and machine learning, data quality, and automation.
  • Translating complex mathematical/statistical models into digestible Power BI visualizations. Defending analytical studies and methodology recommendations to high-ranking officials
  • Organize and/or lead a team through collaboration as part of of a data science project team

  • This position requires the incumbent to be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the Specialized Experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience:

One year specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02/GS-11 grade level in the Federal Service which includes: 1) 1) Utilizing programming languages to map complex data elements, build logical/physical data models, and deploy automated pipelines, and; 2) Contributing to cloud modernization initiatives, migrating structured or unstructured databases, and; 3) Developing automated dashboard visualizations and preparing, presenting, and defending high-level technical results. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower pay band/ grade level position in the federal service (NH-02/ GS-11).
